The game between closely ranked teams ended with second rankedCangrejeros ' (20-10) home victory over 3rd placed Criollos (18-13) in Santurce 94-79 on Tuesday. Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands guard Walter Hodge (183-1986, college: Florida) nailed 28 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international power forward Devon Collier (203-1991, college: Oregon St.) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Panamanian-American center Akil Mitchell (206-1992, college: Virginia) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Louis King (201-1999, college: Oregon) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Caguas in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Cangrejeros . Santurce maintains second place with 20-10 record having four points less than leader Quebradillas. Loser Criollos keep the third position with 13 games lost.
